War of the Worlds
Just back from the movie: War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise and by Steven Spielberg. Almost completely sold out, the cinema hall (number 3, with the laser show) in Cinestar was completely filled. Too bad for the little kid that was refused entrance because he was underaged. He probably plays Halflife 2 on his PC at home, so he might as well watched the movie too. Cause that was my first reaction after I saw the earth invaders coming to action.
The story in short: Lots of lightning with no thunder awakes the alien machines which must have been burried under our feeth for millions of years. Tom Cruise and his kids (he's divorced) are forced to flee. Tommy tries to get his kids to his ex-wife in Boston, but has to evade the alien machines a couple of times. During the road trip it becomes clear that he really isn't been much of a father for his kids and the stressfull situation is a perfect moment to work on that. In the end he manages to blow up one of those 'things', after which they all suddenly die of the flu.
That's about it.. maybe it sounds a lil' sarcastic but it was a great movie which stunning special effects, unexplainable horror and some one-liners in between. Go see it! :)

He, leuke actiefilm, maar ooh zo slecht. Tom cruise iriteerd me al na de eerste scene, de film zit vol fouten. Waarom doet de digicam het wel als alle stroom uit is en waarom vluchten alle mensen naar het gevecht toe (vlak voordat het zoontje doodgaat (ook weer niet, damn)) en nog meer rare dingen.
Slechte film, wel kijken maar geen geld aan uitgeven DOWNLOADEN dus
