Pompiedom...!

It has been a while (again) since my last update, but I'm still here, don't worry.

So what have you been up to lately bramn?
Well , not much actually. At least on the virtual side of my life. In my real life I'm currently doing my obligatory internship at Strukton Systems for my master in Electrical Engineering. It is a fulltime job, Matlabbing and writing documents all day. So my glossy white Samsung TFT doesn't look very inviting anymore, by the time I get home at around six. Instead I primarily use it to watch episodes of '24', Prison Break etc. to relax some, before bedtime announces itself again. I recently finished all 10 seasons of FRIENDS, that's about 230 episodes since this summer, pfew... Next on my list is 24 season 5, which is already halfway done.

My internship is going really fast, already 10 weeks have passed since the beginning of my internship and I can say, time really flies. Somehow, making 8-hour-days goes faster than a typical day in the life of a student. That doesn't mean I've become a normal 'civilian' though, not just yet!

Friday the 13th of October, Olaf, Leon and me held a party in honour of our birthdays. Lots of presents, including new season DVD boxes to watch, Palm and Grolsch beer, friends and photos! For those interested, in one of my free weekends (free as in no weekend shifts at the Ariens Zorgpalet) I visited the Luminarium III. A sort of plastic castle filled with air, colors and sound, built by the Architects of Air. A very strange and somehow relaxing experience. I shot of a couple of quick snapshots using my SonyEricsson K800i camphone. You can find them in the Architects of Air Flickr set.

To end this 'once-a-month' update, I've come up with a couple of 'Did you know that...'s:

• bramn goes salsa dancing nowadays, every monday evening at Cinestar, taught by the people of Rico Latino?
• there is only 4,5 weeks to go till my last day at Strukton?
• bramn is gonna enjoy his student life so much again by then?
• I have to spend 80 minutes a day on my bike, commuting to Hengelo?
• a 500GB external harddrive, designed by Porsche and built by LaCie is on my desk nowadays?
• I'll probably be doing nightshifts at the AriensZorgpalet after the move to new building on Deppenbroek?
• I helped raise money for the Sponsorlach by laughing my ass off with Guido Weijers?
• I think this is about it... ?
