2006, 2007

Wow, already 2 days ahead in 2007. 2006 is over! To all the people I don't know in RLTM or don't happen to have met yet; Happy New Year, let's make 2007 a good one!

It only feels like yesterday when I finished my internship at Strukton Systems and a whole month of festivities was lying ahead of me. But time flies and now all the little lights and of course the Christmas tree are gone. At least in our house. Fortunately I had a great December together with my friends and family, lots of food and drinks and just a great time!

A great part of December has been digitally recorded by cameras, but this time mostly by others. So no links to photo sets (yet), but a hint to check out the websites of my friends for photos and videos! Not yet online, but already recommended are the photos and videos of 'carbid skiet'n' in Almelo.

In between Christmas and New Year's Eve my replacement PC arrived from Shanghai. Actually a notebook, a real and a great piece of machinery it is! I'm still getting used to Mac , which has a different feeling to it then XP. My MBP is running both OS's using Apple's Bootcamp. XP for the games, Mac OSX for the real work.

Last but not least, hopefully this week I'll put a fresh redesign of this blog online. I've never been really that happy with the current color scheme. So since last summer I've been busy photoshopping and tweaking till I sort of got satisfied with what it is now. It is mainly a change in the code, not so much the structure, as the general layout of the website will stay the same.

The seperate block for 'Sense' posts will disappear and merge with the main posts though. Also a del.icio.us feed will be added to the frontpage, since I tend to bookmark a lot of websites out of interest and for my job as a freelance writer. If you subscribed to my RSS feed, you will already have seen the daily list of added links.

But more about the latter two issues later, see you next time. For now, have a good holiday while it still lasts...
