Quickies

Just some quick notes to keep you up to date. First of all I have pimped the header a bit. I am now holding (yes, that silhouette is actually me) a 'real' Apple notebook. Also the gradient has been upgraded with some OSX like waves. If I checked correctly the header is repeatable on the x-axis. So even in a full-screen browser with a horizontal resolution of more than 1024 pixels, it won't be noticeable the header image is only 900px wide. Want some more quickies, find them after the jump.

Total Posts snippet

On a Pivot note, I just released version 2.0 of one of my most popular snippets: Total Posts. More information can be found in its thread on the Pivot forums. In the future all my snippets, templates and extensions will be gathered in a seperate Pivot++ section on this website. So keep dropping by.

Virb.com

Marco from "The Net is Dead" has been so kind to invite me to the closed beta of Virb.com. He has written an excellent review about this new social network that seems to aim at designers with its fully customizable profiles (including CSS and XHTML code). Marco did make me promise to try out this functionality to the maximum though. Tweaking and tinkering here I come again. The profile comes with 15 invitations to send out, so if you are really interested just drop me a note and I will send you one.

Website Snapshots @ Flickr

You might already have notices that my Flickr photo stream has sort of been polluted with snapshots of this website. This is a result of me implementing this Flickr Emailr script from Shaun Inman on my notebook. It will automatically generate a snapshot of this website and email it to my Flickr account everyday. I have no idea what I will do with the dozens of screenies in the future. I might as well delete them and remove the script in a month or so, don't really know yet. If not usefull, maybe it will force me to actually upload some real photos though. Might make the stream itself more interesting.
